- Rick Keating FAIA Los Angeles: I had a great time and so did everyone else! Thanks again for making it such a pleasure. Ryan Davis Los Angeles: An architectural tour with Ward is a wonderful way to see the vast architectural scene in Los Angeles. His architectural knowledge allows him to craft an insightful tour tailored to each individual’s specific interests. Michael Stevenson FAIA Raleigh: Thanks for a great day and a wonderful tour. In hindsight it is amazing how much we were able to see in one day. I was inspired by the architecture and your commentary added much insight that I would have otherwise not had. I will be happy to refer others to you who are heading to LA, and I would also like to get a copy of the book. Michael Giardina AIA Cambridge: I had a great time on the tour and thoroughly enjoyed meeting you. In short the tour considerably exceeded my expectations. Thanks for the book advance copy, many good memories. Curtis Hung AIA Los Angeles: I had a great time last Wednesday; I enjoyed very much with your tour and companionships from KS guys. Architectures are inspiring, the weather was just perfect, the food was delicious and you guys were a lot of fun to hang out with. I am looking forward to meeting with all of you again. Count me in with the book. Thanks. Anik Jhaveri AIA Washington DC: Ward is a phenomenal guide, extremely knowledgeable and has a great easy going, funny manner to him.

- Our first visit to California was planned as a 2-day whirlwind tour. We asked Ward Thompson to help us get the most out of a quick trip. Ward’s familiarity with the Los Angeles area, his flexibility in designing a tour that matched our interests and time constraints, and his easy-going manner made our sight-seeing excursion both relaxing and educational. Highlights of our tour included the Union Station and San Fernando Mission. This was our first experience with a one-on-one travel guide, and we both agree that this is the best way to explore a new destination. We highly recommend Entasis Architectural Tours for an educational, entertaining, and relaxed tourist experience.

- When we visited California earlier this year we wanted to do something a bit different to the usual bus tour of the Kodak Centre and the Hollywood sign. A friend suggested we try a tour with Entasis and we're so glad we discovered it! Prior to visiting LA, our knowledge of historical architecture in Southern California was minimal at best. Thanks to Ward, we were able to visit some beautiful locations off the beaten track and received a top education. Our visit to the 'Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels' was enormously enhanced by Ward's ability to draw attention to details, which a normal tour guide just wouldn't give you. The building's geometric complexity would make it hard for any visitor to know where to begin, but his passion for architecture and the history of design is infectious and made our day so enjoyable. The structure is flexible and very personal, so you really learn a lot. Ward's amazing knowledge, easy-going manner and wicked sense of humour made our trip truly unforgettable. We'd highly recommend this to anyone!

- As Manhattanites, Los Angeles is the ultimate enigma. Everything of note is scattered, the highways seem perpetually clogged and the road network appears incomprehensible. Locating places of architectural interest was beyond our capability. But then my wife and I hit the mother load; Entasis. We were not only able to be escorted to the architectural monuments in the LA region, but we were treated to literate, sophisticated analysis of the architecture, the urban context, and the historical significance of each monument. The better part of a day spent at the Getty Museum and trips to such significant architecture as the Gamble House with Ward Thompson’s expert analysis ultimately has stood as memorable as our trips to Rome or Florence. If you are interested in contemporary architecture and you find yourself in LA, it is hard to imagine a better way to see the City and the great architecture than under the careful and knowledgeable tutelage of Ward Thompson.

- "We contacted Ward at Entasis about an architectural tour in San Diego. Exploring the UCSD campus was lovely, with Ward showing us a rich variety of work. The highlight of his tour was visiting both the Neurosciences Institute, and Kahn's masterpiece, the Salk. More than a shuttle between sites, what made our day so enjoyable was Ward's experience as an architect, his pleasant nature, and keen sense of humor. We look forward to future tours of LA with Entasis, and would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Southern California."
